Hi everyone!

Like many other people (I hope everyone) I love art, in all its facets and one of them is paintings.

Dali and van Gogh are far from my favorites and even if they are of very different styles there are people who say that their paintings interpret the same thing and that its source of "inspiration" is the same ...

It is necessary to know that both works are loaded with the context of life, especially family life.
Salvador Dalí (1904) surrealist painter influenced by Renaissance art

Dalí was born three months after his death, he said that he could feel the anguish in his belly and that he learned to live filling the emptiness of the affection that they did not give him. His parents took him to his brother's grave and told him that he was his reincarnation.
He painted 64 versions of the Angelus and by X-ray it was discovered that there were "pentimentos" (painter's repentance) depicting a child's coffin

Vincent van Gogh (1853) post-impressionist painter influenced by Baroque art

Van Gogh was born a year after the death of his older brother, in the family it was not possible to speak of this death and when van Gogh's brother had a son he also called him Vincent for the love of his dead brother and wrote to van Gogh "I hope this Vincent lives and can be realized." Shortly after receiving this letter the painter committed suicide.

...

it is in the history of these artists that you find the same base of suffering, the way of looking at life and the wish to be realized without being someone else, deforming reality in a certain way ...
